I leap from the ledge
On my trembling knees
Praying for an updraft
In the chilling breeze

I have no parachute
No support whatsoever
There’s no one waiting
To piece me back together

I’m flying so high now
Dangerously free
Now if I crash
It’s all up to me

The chains once on me
No longer bound
The rusted cuffs and locks
Now buried underground

I’ll rely on myself soon
Grow wings, and stretch them tall
But I think that for now
I should let myself fall

Wrote this in History class, so I wouldn't fall asleep. My first hard-working attempt at rhyming.

This is a sort of description to how I'm feeling nowadays.

I've never felt better.
